Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog to scrap with at least 4 pictures
|Story:||For my husband’s birthday a year or two ago, we tried something new. A new tapas restaurant downtown. We had never had tapas before; it was a fun new experience for us. We need to get back there again.|
|Style:||Prompted by the challenge to use 4 or more pictures, I created 2 multi-picture collages in Picasa and printed them out at 4 x 6. Actually, these had been printed out for a while now. The collages made designing my 4 rectangle grid layout very easy.|
Using collages is a trick I often use when having lots of close-up pictures, like these of the food and the restaurant. Multiple photos reflect the atmosphere better. And, of course, the first and most important shot is of hubby.
I was pleased that the wood elements I used on the layout complement the natural stucco old world interior of the restaurant, and the other colors pick up the plaid of hubby’s shirt.
If you have lots of pictures and don’t want to spread them across two pages, consider a collage of just the best bits (and that would include family members who are only partly cooperating!)
|Stash:||My July 2015 Counterfeit Kit, the only extra bit is that “nom nom nom” die-cut from a Studio Calico kit.|
You may also notice that I cut down that scalloped circle tag and included just the “happy day” portion on my layout. I was determined to use that very old sticker up – because I think there might just be yet another one stuck in my stash.
