The Happy Couple – a Scrapbook Challenge mood board layout
|Start:||This layout was inspired by the photos on the mood board provided by Scrapbook Challenges – happy, glitzy party time. So happy, celebratory and glitzy it will be!|
|Story:||The Happy Couple – you expect that to be the bride and groom, but I’ve put a happy twist on it.|
“Judy and Ed, parents of the bride, at their daughter Becky’s wedding. They are a prime example of how marriage should last. They wed more than 30 years earlier.”
|Style:||I simply played around with pretty paper to make this layout – fussy cutting the flowers and keeping to a gold and white color scheme, which plays nicely off of his black suit and complements her pretty jacket. Keying off the colors in the photo is the oldest scrapbooking technique in the book, isn’t it? Repeating elements in the photo as embellishment is also a tried and true trick – the flowers here echoing her corsage.|
|Stash:||I don’t really know. At one point I had written the sources of these supplies down on a slip of paper, but it has slipped away. Sorry about that.|
Edited to add: I found my notes. Websters' Pages Beautiful Chic Interior Design paper and transparencies, Prima Sequin centers, American Crafts Amy Tangerine Muse alphabet, Freckled Fawn gold labels.
